The Soccer Association of Montgomery's Rockets girls soccer team scored big points for soldiers during its spring season.
The Rockets partnered with SurvivalStraps for the team's "Points for Patriots" project. The girls got donors to pledge money for every goal the team scored during the spring season. The proceeds were used to purchase SurvivalStraps care packages for members of the military stationed overseas. SurvivalStraps donated 1 care package for every 2 that the girls were able to purchase.
In addition to placing second in their division, the Rockets raised a total of $1,200 by scoring 26 goals over 8 games. 120 care packages were sent to a unit in Iraq. GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!!!
The Rocket's coach, Luke Fedders said, "This has been a great way for the girls to be thankful for what we have here and what the brave Men and Women overseas are fighting for".
We here at SurvivalStraps are very thankful that there are people out there like Coach Fedders. Thank you for showing the girls the importance of supporting our Men and Women in uniform!
